Art Heroes Series – Volume 2
Texts by Jacopo Silvestre
Illustrations by Laura D’Addazio
The second volume of a new manga-inspired series dedicated to young readers who love adventure stories, time travel, and art. Getting to know great artists has never been so much fun!
The second adventure of the Art Heroes sees them engaged in rescuing the works of another great artist: Vincent Van Gogh. When janitor Vittorio notices the gradual loss of color in his works, our young heroes immediately mobilize. Alvise, Zoe, Brunilde, Sara and Iñigo prepare their equipment to embark on a new journey through time, this time to the France (more precisely Saint-Rémy-de-Provence) of 1889.
Here our quintet will meet Van Gogh at a time of great sadness due to feeling misunderstood and despised by society. The painter will bond greatly with Zoe, with whom he will share his nonconformity and show the boys the power of imagination and fantasy. Of course, the Three Greys will try their best to discourage the artist and screw up the mission. Will our Art Heroes be able to save Van Gogh’s works?
