Brembo, The Art Of Braking
A multimedia and immersive experience dedicated to the history and innovation of Brembo, a global leader in braking systems. The event, hosted at Mudec, celebrated more than 60 years of research, technology and design by engaging visitors in a fascinating journey from the company’s origins to the most important challenges of future mobility.

A journey through the past, present and future
From September 6 to 18, 2022, the Museum of Cultures in Milan hosted the exhibition “Brembo. The Art of Braking “. Produced by Balich Wonder Studio, the exhibition traced the evolution of the Bergamo-based company, from its birth in the 1960s to its internationalization in the 2010s and future challenges related to sustainability and electric mobility.
The initiative started from the desire to tell about the “brake” in a different light, not only as a safety tool, highlighting Brembo’s ability to transform it into a design object, awarded with prestigious recognitions such as the Compasso d’Oro and the Red Dot Award. From carbon-ceramic discs to Formula 1 calipers, each product on display told a story of Italian excellence and the ability to combine technology and design with an eye always on the contemporary.

An exhibition show
Through interactive installations, light design and videos, the audience was led to discover the shapes, materials, colors, style and evolution of braking systems, following a path structured in eight thematic sections. The choice of immersive exhibit design made an apparently technical subject matter engaging. Experiencing the thrill of a car and motorcycle race thanks to special tubes that recreate the sound experience of a racetrack, or even getting lost in an “Infinity room” generated by the reflective surface of a brake disc, are some of the experiences in which visitors were able to immerse themselves, physically entering the world of Brembo’s braking systems.
