Who has never looked up at the sky on a clear summer night, losing themselves in contemplation of the firmament and trying to make out the Milky Way or Ursa Major? We wonder if there might be life forms similar to ours in any of those shimmering dots and try to imagine the impossible worlds created by science fiction literature and movies.

However, it is much longer since the stars have enchanted humankind and fed its imagination: already ancient astronomers, observing the sky, had identified constellations there, that is, sets of stars that suggest animals and mythological figures.
